A Final (?) Word from Ellen
We did it again....

Passover 2006 is history and I hope you all enjoyed our Seventh Annual Family Seder.

To those of you who were there, thank you for traveling from far and wide, for interrupting your busy lives to attend this great family event. To those of you whose lives have been interrupted by circumstances preventing you from attending --- hope to see youse next year! (Or if you just live too darn far away for a quick visit --- you too were missed!)

Thank you to our host and hostess with the mostest -- Carl and Minnie! for picking up the tab and making the event possible. Thank you to the Fisherman's Catch for bending over backwards to make this family event run smoothly -- such attention to our needs and holiday traditions!

A family photo will be posted on the website

https://nobred4u.tripod.com/

by Rick and hopefully other photos will be posted as well (including Judy's and the throw away camera photos taken by all). Thank you to Rick for his web expertise - great posting!

Thank you to all the college kids who drive and fly to be with us, interrupting their studies and homework for a chance to drink wine in a socially acceptable situation.

Thank you to Carl and Mike for leading the service with Iris's rousing psalm-recital.

Thank you to Judy for listening to my multiple questions about things and offering wise counsel.

Hope you will all let us know if you have any suggestions or ideas for next year. And just think -- next year we will have to ask for a high chair! How cool is that!? I'll bring a "My First Passover" book. And Ben Lasky - we hope you will "bone up" on the four questions....Jo Kinsley would like to be relieved of that task already!

Next year in Jerusalem -- nahhhh -- next year at the Fisherman's Catch -- Monday or Tuesday, April 2 or 3 (depending on which night they give us - another family has first dibs!).

Thank you all again for coming.

Love,
Ellen

Wow another year has come and gone
It's hard to believe another year has passed us by.

Unfortunately we missed a lot of people who were unavoidably unable to come. But then again
several of the younger set(Evan, Liz and Jo)were able to make it in.

Again this year,We thank Carl for leading the service and Mike for adding the Hebrew and of course
we all thank Minnie and Carl for the dinner. We thank the charoses-makers -- Judy and Ellen -- and
the "wine and candy donators".

Let me also take this opportunity to thank Ellen -- we always seem to forget that without her hard work
and efforts there would not be a seder.

So here's our group for 2006. Hope you enjoyed the evening as much as Joan and I did.

Love,
Your Webmaster

Here's an Update from Ellen
Hi Everyone,

Well, the RSVP's are coming in. Srping is here and
the family seder is coming up.

So far the following people are probably coming:
(Should we say G_d willing?)

Minnie, Carl, Richard and Joan and maybe Evan, Judy
and Dom and their daughters (Liz and Jo) and maybe
Dom's mother, Fred and Ellen and their daughters
(Carly and Lisa) and the girls' boyfriends Ben and
Joey, Mark and Debbie and Ben and maybe Debbie's
niece April Ganis, Iris and Mike and maybe Iris's
son Avi.

Jeff and Jane cannot make it this year, nor can
Jerry and Blythe and their kids, Elaine (Fred's
mother) and her friend Sid, Jenna and Viv, Iris's
daughter Francie.

Eagerly awaiting news of the others....

The big excitement here is that Fred is leaving for
South Africa on Thursday to see Jenna and Viv and
of course their new house. What's new in your neck
of the woods?

Love,
Ellen
(Thanks to Rick for being our webmaster!)

OH -- found a tasty South African Chardonnay that I
will be bringing - Backsberg! From Jenna's town,
but kosher for Passover!

DID YOU NOTICE ?
Hello again everyone. I don't know if anyone has actually checked out the "link" on the right side of the page (it says "Learn More about Passover - Click here you will leave our site"), but it is pretty awesome. It has information about the History of Passover (more than just what is in the Haggadah) as well as such interesting tidbits as the difference between Sephardic and Ashkenazi customs. Well worth a click if you have the time.

Also, a personal plug from your Webmaster, please vist my site, CYBERMALL2K.COM and check out some of the great deals. There are links to Overstock.com (which has great deals on everything including Airline Tickets), Buy.com (great for computer stuff and electronics) and even Amazon.com.

Finally, please leave us some feedback and let us know if you have any pictures or material you would like posted.

Love,
The Webmaster

Welcome to 2006
Hi everyone!

Seder time is rapidly approaching!! Hope you have all received the invitation. (If you are aware of anyone who should have received one, but didn't, please let Ellen know. I would hate to have left someone out by mistake!)

Also -- though it may be obvious to you that you are either coming or not coming, it would be really helpful if you email nobred4u@aol.com to let me know.

It has been quite a year -- as always, life has ways of bringing both the good, the bad and the ugly. Hoping to celebrate "the good" with you all at the seder on April 13, 2006.

Any comments, stories, questions??? Let's post'em here!

Love,
Ellen

It's a Done Deal
Well.....Passover 2005 is history! The attached photo was taken after dinner --- we missed all of you who were unable to attend. And we thank those who came for traveling from far and wide (California, upstate NY, Boston, Mass, Connecticut, Brooklyn, etc.) to attend this family event. We thank the charoses-makers -- Judy and Mark and the "wine and candy donators". We thank Carl for leading the service and Mike for adding the Hebrew and of course we all thank Minnie and Carl for the dinner. So -- if you need lots of time to prepare -- next year's seder will be April 13, 2006 -- same time, same place!!! (I had better start working on the invitation!) Enjoy the photo -- more to be sent.

Love, Ellen
