It's a Done Deal
Well.....Passover 2005 is history! The attached photo was taken after dinner --- we missed all of you who were unable to attend. And we thank those who came for traveling from far and wide (California, upstate NY, Boston, Mass, Connecticut, Brooklyn, etc.) to attend this family event. We thank the charoses-makers -- Judy and Mark and the "wine and candy donators". We thank Carl for leading the service and Mike for adding the Hebrew and of course we all thank Minnie and Carl for the dinner. So -- if you need lots of time to prepare -- next year's seder will be April 13, 2006 -- same time, same place!!! (I had better start working on the invitation!) Enjoy the photo -- more to be sent.

Love, Ellen

Hi again Everyone
Hi again Everyone ~

Well, the invitations are in the mail and the excitement is starting to build. Be sure to let me know if no invitation arrives at your door and keep those RSVP's coming in as soon as you know what's what. We have 39 people on the invitation list, but many will not be coming this year - such as Jerry's wife and kids from California (Jerry is coming though!), Fred's mother Elaine, and college kids -- well that remains to be seen who will be able to join us -- the more, the merrier for sure.

See you all soon.
Love,
Ellen

Save the date!!!!
Mood:  happy
Now Playing: Dayenu
Hi Everyone!

I know, I know......Passover seems so far away [it is -- it is in April this year!], but I just wanted to let you all know that last year's successful change to King Umberto will not work out this year. The holiday falls on both Saturday and Sunday nights, so they were unable to accommodate us -- too many regulars to keep happy.

I took the liberty of booking a private room at the Fisherman's Catch Restaurant, Point Lookout, NY. There is easy parking in a lot across the street, handicap ramp, nice view, tasty food and best of all -- a private room for us to sing, and carry on if we wish.....

I am sure that I have left out many (and sent double to those whose addresses were iffy) - so please get the word out. The first seder night (Saturday) was not available because another family has been having their seder there for several years and booked it last year. The restaurant even made them charoses, but I think we will bring our own. (Last year the restaurant sauteed my matzoh balls in olive oil before adding them to the soup-- perhaps a new tradition should be started!)

So - the date is Sunday, April 24, 2005. Get those cheap fares now people! Don't miss this one annual family gathering -- a chance to find out, "Why this night is different from all other nights."

Of course, as always, you will all get formal invitations as the date draws near (Ellen cannot miss a chance to play on the computer and avoid housework.)

Please write back to me at the above email address ("NoBred4U@AOL.COM") just to let me know you have received this. (Thanks to Carly for catchy email address.)

Happy New Year everyone and have an easy winter! (....or in Jenna and Viv's case, a cool summer!)

Love to all.....
Ellen
